Central Pacific

One to three hours driving from San Jose International Airport (SJO) lays the Central Pacific Coast from Puntarenas to Quepos. Activities abound from sailing aboard the Calypso Catamaran to Isla Tortuga, Carara Biological Reserve, some of the best surfing in Jaco and nearby beaches to Quepos next to Manuel Antonio National Park; one of the oldest and perhaps the most visited national park in the system.
The last has so many attractions to offer that to many this is a one stop destination. From modest hotel accommodations to deluxe boutique hotels including fully staff private homes and villas available for rent for those looking for privacy in the most upscale setting.
